An application supporting the management of scientific research and commercialization of the results of R&D works in research units and enterprises
Challenge
SWPS University of Humanities and Social Sciences awarded us an order, the purpose of which was to develop and create a web application with a database, supporting the management of scientific research and the commercialization of R&D results in research units and enterprises.
SWPS is a private university with its seat in Warsaw. It runs first-cycle and second-cycle studies, uniform master's studies, post-graduate studies and a doctoral school. The headquarters of the university is in Warsaw, the other branches are Wrocław, Poznań, Sopot and Katowice).
Solution
In order to design the application, we conducted UI / UX workshops, identifying the client's business assumptions. We analyzed competing tools and applications, we define the MVP of the application (Minimum Viable Product) and we determined the functionalities that will make up the prepared tool.
R&DIn the first version of the program, we included the implementation of two research questionnaires (Milamind and Job Flow), developed by the Employer. We made it possible to set up customer and surveyed user accounts. Administrators can create questionnaires, set up surveys, send out invitations to users, and analyze collected results.

The application automatically generates various types of documents. Administrators can download in PDF format invoices and research reports. Summaries will include a graphical presentation of the results in the form of graphs: bar, pie, a web of results and a descriptive summary. The administrator also has the option to download raw and standardized data in an XLS file.
